Ruud Van Nistelrooy find a bench. The former Netherlands international, 47, has been without a team since he left PSV Eindhoven ten months ago somewhat behind the door after internal discussions at the club. And in the latest statements he offered himself to LaLiga.
“I have offers from Holland, but I want to coach a team in Germany, England or Spain. Preferably in the competitions where I played, because I speak those languages well,” said the former player of Madrid (2006-10) and former Málaga player (2011-12). Van Nistelrooy also played in the Premier League (Manchester United, 2001-06) and the Bundesliga (Hamburg, 2009-11).
LaLiga is particularly attractive to former footballers. In ‘Relevo’ he said he wanted to be the coach of “a proper club”. “I had experience as a youth coach at PSV. During this time I helped many talents grow, such as Gakpo, Madueke, Bakayoko and Xavi Simons. I participated in the development of these talents.”
But the coach indicated that he has no desire to coach a youth team again. “I like to work with young players alongside other experienced players. That combination is perfect for a coach,” he said. “I want to help young players in their development.”
