A car collided with a Badner Bahn train in Traiskirchen in the Baden district on Tuesday evening. Three occupants of the car were injured, two of them seriously, the Lower Austria State Police Directorate said.
One of the victims (25) had to be transported to Vienna General Hospital by emergency medical helicopter. The two other men (29 and 21) were taken to Baden State Hospital.
Victim rescued by fire brigade
According to the police, the 29-year-old driver of the car was seriously injured in the accident around 7:15 p.m. in the Wienersdorf district, as well as a 25-year-old passenger in the back seat, who had to be freed by emergency services from the FF Wienersdorf and Traiskirchen-Stadt. The passenger (21) escaped with minor injuries. All men live in the Baden district. The 43-year-old driver and the occupants of the Badener Bahn train were unharmed in the accident.
