We now have a date for another step in the process of starting Women’s Professional Soccer League (LPFF). This is about General assembly, the highest body of the new league, and called for next Tuesday, June 7. A first session will take place at the Higher Sports Council headquarters. We must not forget that the state sports body will be key to the start of this new league with substantial state funding in the early years. Especially when it comes to infrastructure.

Sixteen clubs that are part of this new professional league are invited to this session: Real Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Athletic Club de Bilbao, Madrid Club de Fútbol, ​​Atlético de Madrid, Sevilla , Sporting de Huelva, Granadilla Tenerife, Rayo Vallecano, Eibar, Real Sociedad, Villarreal, Valencia, Levante, Betis and Alavés.

It is in this Assembly where it will be officially recognized Beatrice Alvarez as the first president of Spanish women’s professional football and then had ten of 16 endorsements from clubs. Along with Beatriz, Rubén Alcaine will also be recognized as vice president of the competition.

It is also in this Assembly where the Delegated Commission of this professional league should be formed and will consist of five of the 16 teams. This body needs to propose the figure of the future general director of the Women’s Professional League.
