Clear victory for Milan to consolidate second position

Date:

Milan is on cruising speed in 2024 and confirmed it by winning second place after Juventus fell first and easily beat Hellas Verona (3-1).

With a solid approach, Pioli’s men dominated the rivalry without any hint of hesitation and thanks to a very protagonist Theo Hernández they took the rivalry forward. Milan handled the game calmly, taking their attacks unhurriedly even though the first one took a while to arrive.

He had a chance to get ahead. Pulisic’s crossbar took that away and then Okafor had no finesse in the definition. However, before the break, Theo Hernández’s faith led him to overcome the Rossoneri (44′).

Things got more serious when we started to get the ball rolling again. Dawidowicz made a mistake, he gave it to Okafor and he gave the death pass to Pulisic so, this time, he scored (50′). Verona have done almost nothing in attack so far. He only has two, both Noslin. The first goes up and the second goes in with a good volley (64′).

However, Milan did not lose heart. He remained solid and closed off possible escape routes after the repair. Even more when Chukwueze found the goal with Pioli’s team to kill the match (80′). Verona came close to the second, but Maignan stopped it in stoppage time and the light never moved again.
