The Santander Golf Tour presents its 2024 calendar

Date:

This Wednesday is the ninth edition of the Santander Golf Tour, a women’s professional golf circuit that will consist of ten events held throughout the year in different Spanish territories.

Gonzaga Escauriaza, president of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, emphasized the continuation of this integrated circuit, and thanked everyone present for promoting this wonderful sport: “It’s great to have this circuit, the women’s golf is very expensive, and I will have a memory for Emma Villacieros, who has been a great promoter of Spanish women’s golf, with a lot of success, even winning four European titles last year. There has been a transition between amateurism and professionalism, and I believe this circuit is absolutely perfect to facilitate this transition. It’s something difficult, but thanks to circuits like this, that step is made easier to play, which is the most important thing.

The Santander Golf Tour returns after a great season last 2023 and will start its ninth season on April 18 and 19 with a new format -Birdie Challenge- at Empordà Golf, Forest (Girona). The circuit will continue its journey with the Doubles tournament at El Bosque Golf (Valencia) on May 8 and 9, and will continue its journey to Spain at Izki Golf (Álava), on May 30 and 31. The fourth test will be held on Real Golf de Pedreña (Cantabria) with its now traditional Match-Play tournament on June 12, 13 and 14.

This 2024 will once again feature a tournament sanctioned by the LET Access Series, satellite circuit of the Ladies European Tour, which will be held from June 20 to 22 in Naturávila (Ávila), making its debut for the first time on the Santander Golf Tour. Before the summer break, the circuit will travel for the first time to La Rioja, where on July 3 and 4 the sixth round of the season will be held at the Logroño Golf Club.

The month of October will be accompanied by two more events: another individual tournament at the Real Club de Golf de La Coruña, on the 17th and 18th, and the usual Pro-Am of legends that will welcome some of the biggest star of this sport. at Golf Santander (Madrid) on October 23 and 24. For the last two tournaments of the season, the circuit will travel to the south of the Peninsula, first, the Zaudín Golf Club (Seville), will host the penultimate test of the season in November 6 and 7.

To end on a high note, the Real Club de Golf de Guadalmina will host the final test of the circuit, the Santander Spanish Women’s Professional Championship that will close a 2024 that will begin with the most exciting expectations.
