Tragic death of a 24-year-old footballer who collapsed in training

A promising Colombian soccer player, just 24 years old, died of heart failure after collapsing during training. Real Santa Cruz announced his death in a statement on their social media pages. We extend a warm invitation to all true fans to join us in our final farewell and say goodbye to our player, who left an indelible mark in our hearts and in the history of our club. We thank you in advance for your presence and expressions of love during this difficult time for all of us.“.

In another statement, the club said of Beltrán: “He was more than a talented player: he was a friend. A teammate and inspiration to many. His passion for the game and tireless spirit will continue to be remembered and cherished forever.“. Real Santa Cruz director Adolfo Soria Galvarro said of the tragedy: “He was training as usual and he suddenly collapsed. “They tried to revive him but he died when he was taken to a clinic.”

Real Santa Cruz published a moving video tribute to their deceased player on social networks, with the accompanying legend: “Fly high, dear friend“.
