The Royal Snake saved in a Viennese hotel found a new home in the “World of Poisons” – and already wanted to eat a resident of the zoo. Thank goodness, that could be prevented.
“She is a love, clear lady – almost always,” laughs Nils Kley. The head of the Salzburg “World of Poisons” is happy with the youngest newcomer. The mini -animal garden has recently housed a royal snake. But: “We have now housed her separately, she tried to eat one of her male peers.”
The snake is called “khloe” – and for a good reason. Almost two years ago the Royal Snake was discovered in the toilet of a Viennese Hotel. The “Tierschutz Austria” team moved at the time and was able to safely catch the non -toxic snake after a long back and forth. “The animal was somewhat injured, has recovered from us and has now found a new home,” says Martin Aschauer from “Tierschutz Austria”. One was looking for a suitable place for “Khloe” longer.
In the meantime, the toilet hose lives in a common housing with the lashes in the “World of Poisons”. Kley: “Let’s see how long things are going well. In any case, domestic violence is not tolerated with us.” How the snake could get into the toilet of the hotel is still a mystery.
