The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, The Ukrainian team was congratulated for its qualification on Tuesday for the Euro 2024 by beating Iceland 2-1 and underline the importance of this victory in the message “Ukraine is and will be!”
Via Telegram, Zelensky thanked the national team “for showing again that when it’s hard for Ukrainians, They never give up and keep fighting. “Then the Ukrainians will definitely win.”
“At times when they want to destroy us every day, we show every day that Ukrainians are and will be! Ukraine is and will be!” he said, adding: “Thank you, guys! Thank you, national team! For ” the most important emotion for the whole country. For an important victory and to reach the European Championship.”
Ukraine defeated the Iceland team on Tuesday by 2 goals to 1 and thus achieved the qualification for European Cup which will be held in Germany between June 14 and July 14.
