Badalona’s fifth straight victory, beating a Girona B team that ended its best streak of the entire season.
From the start, the two teams showed great respect for each other. After a quarter of an hour, the battle began and David Batanero put his team ahead with a direct free kick that was handled by goalkeeper Lucas.
Girona B’s response was immediate and the local scorer, Carles Garrido, with a long shot, led to a display of brilliance by Carles Craviotto, who saw how the combination of Álex Almansa and Miguel Ángel Sánchez did not bother him.
With Lucas weakly releasing the ball, Toni Larrosa took advantage of the 0-2.
Before the break, Miguel Ángel Sánchez managed to close the gap, but Craviotto countered.
After the restart, the red and white, with the introduction of Dawda, launched a desperate attack. Dawda himself, Carles Garrido and Miguel Ángel Sánchez tried to close the gap without success.
As the minutes ticked by, Girona B became more aggressive and a cross from Álex Almansa was caught by Carles Garrido with a perfect header to make it 1-2.
In the final stages, Badalona maintained its advantage, despite the options of a Girona B that did not change. The last one was for Carles Garrido who was unsuccessful in heads-up against Carles Craviotto
