The wind was the star this Tuesday in a day mixed with luck for Spanish women. Jessica Bouzas continues her good form comfortably defeated German player Friedsam 6-4 and 6-3, while Marina Bassols had a more complicated match than expected against Timea Babos.
The Blanes player had to overcome a bad start, to win the match in the third set 4-6, 6-1 and 7-5.
Guiomar Maristany was not so lucky, losing to Turkey’s Zeynep Sönmez 1-6, 7-6, 6-4 in a match that lasted more than two hours, and Nuria Párrizas, who fell in the first match of the morning by a resounding 6-2 and 6-1.
The tournament continues to leave great surprises and this Tuesday it was the turn of Congratulations to Minnen, who lost in two sets (6-3 and 6-1) to Kristina Mladenovic.
The French tennis player showed tennis reminiscent of that top-10 tennis player in the world and No. 1 in singles. Another surprise was the defeat of Harriet Dart, fourth seed, who fell to the young and promising Elsa Jacquemot by 1-6,6-4 and 6-4.
The day was completed with Sinja Kraus winning against Moyuka Uchijima in three sets (3-6, 6-4 and 6-3), Olga Danilovic over Darja Semenistaja 6-3 and 6-1 and Dalma Gálfi over Ella Seidel 7 -6 and 6-3.
