A 76-year-old caused chaos on the A2-South highway on Tuesday afternoon. He drove his car in the opposite direction on the Graz-Ost supply road, exit Puchwerk. After about five kilometers of wrong-way driving, an accident occurred between the Laßnitzhöhe and Graz-Ost exits.
One person slightly injured
The 76-year-old collided with the car of a 31-year-old in the third lane. Fortunately, the 31-year-old from the Spital/Drau district was only slightly injured and nothing happened to the wrong-way driver.
30 minutes of wasted time
But other cars were also damaged by flying car parts, causing chaos. The second and third lanes were closed, which meant a loss of time of approximately 30 minutes. The driver’s license of the wrong-way driver was temporarily confiscated and a report was filed.
