Italy introduces the license plate for e-scooters. They consist of three letters and three digits and are designed as a non -replaceable, plasticized sticker. The badge is not bound by the vehicle, but to the person.
The license plate must be visible and permanently confirmed – preferably on the rear protection sheet, as an alternative to the steering wheel if there is no other place. Moreover, the board shows the Italian coat of arms.
The decree will take effect in two weeks with the publication in the official magazine. With the introduction of the license plate, Italy wants to fight the increasing number of accidents with e-scooters. 13 fatal accidents have been reported since the beginning of the year.
