“To ensure a full recovery, Nairo will not compete in his next scheduled event, the Tour of the Alps (which will be held from the 15th to the 19th of this month). His subsequent calendar will be announced in the near future future. ,” the team detailed.
The team did not report whether the runner would undergo surgery or not. To recover from this type of injury, the runner needs at least four weeks. He will make the recovery in Colombia.
Eusebio Unzué, general director of Movistar, said at the end of last year that Quintana and fellow Colombian Einer Rubio had been selected to join the team for the Giro d’Italia.
Quintana, who returned to the Movistar discipline this season after his time with Arkéa Samsic, returned to competition in February at the Tour of Colombia after a one-year break.
