The president of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohensand representatives of the public institutions and authorities of the island of Mallorca, gave a warm tribute this Monday to the vermilion team for “make history” by fighting “to the last breath” to conquer the Copa del Rey against Athletic Club de Bilbao at La Cartuja stadium in Seville.
The vermilion team fell in a penalty shootout in the capital of Seville after extra time with a 1-1 tie on the scoreboard.
“You are the heroes of a whole generation,” said Prohens, addressing the footballers, the Mexican-led coaching staff. Javier Aguirrethe president of the Balearic club, Andy Kohlberg, and the directors Alfonso Díaz and Pablo Ortells.
