The weather is always a factor to consider in April Augusta National Golf Club. This year is no different. Here’s what to expect this Thursday: After consecutive perfect days at Augusta National, things are about to change.
Last Saturday, the weather was perfect for the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. It’s another good Sunday for the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals. It is perfect for the practice days before the 88th Masters Tournament.
But this Thursday a change is expected. The first band of rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected to arrive after midnight. The second heavy rain and thundershower is expected to fall from 6 am to 11 am
The first start of the opening round this Thursday is scheduled for 8 am.
In addition to the rain, there will be strong wind gusts expected to reach 45 miles per hour. There will be a lull between 1 and 4pm, before scattered storms and occasional showers return in the afternoon.
For the rest of the week the forecast is good.
