Rocha, “calm” and ready to “cooperate with justice” when it comes to court

Date:

Pedro Rocha, former president of the Managing Commission of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and candidate for its presidency, came to Court of First Instance and Instructionn number 4 of Majadahonda (Madrid) “calm” and ready to “cooperate with justice” as a witness in Brody’s case, where possible corruption in federation contracts during the mandate of Luis Rubiales is being investigated.

Rochawho was summoned at 10:30 am, arrived ten minutes before his summons and entered the court alone in front of twenty media outlets waiting for him in an area cordoned off by the local police of Majadahonda.

“I am very calm, I come to collaborate with justice,” said Rocha, at the door of the courts, where he was also asked if he was afraid of being disqualified by the Sports Administrative Court (TAD). “No,” he said.

Judge Delia Rodrigo decided this week to listen to Rocha, while Luis Rubiales was summoned to testify as an investigator on April 29.

These actions stem from the searches carried out by the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard on March 20, with the RFEF itself and Rubiales’ home in Granada, inside a room declared secret.

Pedro Rocha is the former economic vice president of the RFEF and has led its Management Committee since Rubiales resigned in September 2023 after being banned by FIFA for three years for his conduct at the Women’s World Cup final and the non-consensual kiss with player Jenni. Hermoso, who is investigating the National Court.

This Friday, the RFEF Electoral Commission must announce the provisional candidacies for the presidency. Rocha showed 107 endorsements out of 138 possible.
