The Premier League surprised the best player of March

Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz, from Fulham, has been selected as the best Premier League player of the month for March and becomes the third player in the history of the London club to achieve this award.

In March Muniz scored four goals and provided an assist. He scored a goal and set up another in a 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, scored a double in a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur and finished the month with a bicycle kick goal to salvage a point in extra time against at Sheffield United (3-3).

The reward for two hard years

“Without my teammates, coaching staff and people here, it would have been impossible. This is special, the last two and a half years have been difficult. Now I’m adapted and I feel like I’m at home here,” acknowledged Muniz, 22 years old.and? He arrived at Fulham in August 2021 from Flamengo before being loaned last season to Middlesbrough.


The Brazilian is the first Fulham player in fourteen years to achieve this award after the goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer I reached it in February 2010.

In addition to Schwarzer and Muniz, another Fulham player was selected as the best of the month in the club’s history: Louis Saha in August 2021.

Muniz won votes Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Heung-min Son (Tottenham), Ben White (Arsenal), Aleksander Isak (Newcastle), Alexis McAllister (Liverpool) and Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth).
