Nelly Kordanumber one in the world, won the Chevron Championship this Sunday in The Woodlands (Texas)the first major of the LPGA women’s circuit season, and chained her fifth consecutive tournament.
The mark of Korda, son of former tennis player Peter Korda and brother of tennis player Sebastian Korda, equaled the best record in LPGA history with his fifth consecutive tournament.
She won with a combined score of thirteen under par and two strokes ahead of Sweden’s Maja Stark (-11) and won the second major of her career after the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship.
On his record, Korda is also wearing Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold.
The Spanish Carlota Ciganda finished the tournament with a cumulative score of eight under par after the -2 achieved on the last day.
