The former goalkeeper of real Madrid and the Spanish team Iker Casillas This Thursday he participated in an event on innovation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity held in Miami, where he spoke about his work supporting technological startups.
At the UNIR Innovation Day Miami 2024, held today in the center of this city in southern Florida (USA) and organized by the International University of La Rioja (UNIR), Casillas gave details about the alliance between his company, SportBoots , and the multinational Telefónica in favor of small businesses.
“Both companies share the same concern for promoting sport and the well-being of society,” said the 2010 world champion with ‘La Roja’ at the event.
Casillas recounted that his current activity in the field of technological entrepreneurship, focused on the world of sports, began after collaborating with the Spanish firm Idoven in the matter of athletes’ health and well-being.
“After suffering a heart attack, I saw the delicate work that this startup is doing to monitor that important machine: the heart,” explained the former goalkeeper at this event held in a hybrid format, and also broadcast in streaming.
“In just three years, we have been working with eleven technology startups and we have converted more than 2 million euros,” he added.
Casillas participated in this event, which was also organized by MIU City University Miami, together with the Spanish expert in technological innovation and cybersecurity Chema Alonso and the vice chancellor of International Projects at UNIR and chancellor of MIU, Daniel Burgos.
