Salvador del Cruzeiro
Ronaldo bought Cruzeiro in December 2021, at the time the historic Belo Horizonte club was in the second division and immersed in a judicial recovery process, to avoid bankruptcy due to its debts.
At that time, Ronaldo, who is also the current owner of Real Valladolid, paid 400 million reais (now 78 million dollars) and assumed the debts incurred by the club, which reached 1,000 million reais (about 195 million dollars ).
During his rule Cruzeiro returned to the first division and finished 2023 in fourteenth position in the Brazilian championship standings. After the first four rounds of the current season, they are in seventh place, two points behind leaders Botafogo.
