Some of the best athletes in the world will meet this weekend at the Bahamas to compete with Relay World Cup 2024an event that will offer the last chance to those aspiring to qualify for the Paris Olympic Games relays.
Among the most prominent figures who will participate in the World Championship is the American sprinter Noah Lylesthe Italian Olympic champion Marcel Jacobsthe multiple Dutch champion Femke Bol and local stars Shaunae Miller-Uibo, Steven Gardiner and Devynne Charlton.
The program presents five events that will take place in Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium from the Bahamian capital, Nassau.

National teams can present a team of up to eight athletes for each event, of which four will compete in the relay race. In the mixed relay, teams can include a maximum of six athletes (three boys and three girls) with only one substitution allowed after the first round.

The World Relay Championship will take place in May 4 and 5 in the afternoon in the Bahamas, however, the six-hour difference with respect to Spain means that the event can be seen on the peninsula in the early hours of Sunday and Monday.

World Relay Awards
The eight best teams in each event will receive cash prizes, with an added bonus US$50,000 (about €47,000) for breaking the world record.

Olympic qualification
The 14 best teams in each event of Bahamas Relay World Cup 24 They will automatically qualify for the Paris Olympic Games. The two remaining places in each discipline will be assigned according to the classification period established for this purpose (from December 2022 to June 2024).
On the first day of the World Cup, the two best teams from each series will advance to the final, ensuring their qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
On the second day, there will be an additional round where the other teams will compete and where the best two from each series will also qualify for Paris 2024.
In the finals, the qualified teams will compete for cash prizes and other places for the Olympic Games.
