Assen is the oldest track on the MotoGP calendar, dating back to 1949, and only the Covid pandemic has forced the cancellation of its annual appointment at the premier two-wheeled event in 2020. It is one of the Central European fan favorites that has an amazing atmosphere. and its only final chicane where so many races have been decided despite the fact that the track has lost much of its beauty after various renovations.
Last year in 2023, attendance records were broken at Assen, according to data provided by Dorna, with 105,842 for the Sunday race and 179,167 for the weekend. 2025 will be a historic year for Assen as it will celebrate the centenary of the first TT.
