On Wednesday, the police arrested a motorcyclist in the Bregenzerwald (Vorarlberg). Instead of the permitted 80, the German drove more than 200 km/h. The German has now gotten off the bike.
Last Thursday around 3 p.m., a civilian patrol noticed a German motorcyclist. He had far exceeded the speed limit on the L200 from Schnepfau/Hirschau towards Mellau.
300 km/h from 130 km/h
The cyclist was arrested and checked. The 36-year-old motorcyclist rode a Ducati bicycle at a speed of more than 200 km/h. The trip was captured on video and the violation was reviewed. The evaluation showed a speed of 191 km/h instead of the permitted 80 km/h (open terrain).
Due to the new legal regulations, which have been in force since March 2024, the motorcycle was temporarily seized by officials on site and handed over to the authorities.
