Date:

Lando Norris made history at the Miami International Autodrome by achieving his first victory at Formula 1. At 24 years old, the British driver took advantage of a race incident with the entry of the safety car and managed to impose his speed at the end of the Miami Grand Prix to climb to the top of the podium. The Briton received congratulations from most of his teammates and was ecstatic the moment he crossed the finish line. “It’s about time!” he declared in the post-race interview.

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren, explained in statements to the Daily Mail how team members celebrated the victory. After leaving the circuit, they all met in a team hotel room where there was no shortage of “loud music.” They were there until two in the morning, when Brown decided to leave. Not like that Norriswho continued to party “until dawn” at Carbone Beach.

With almost no sleep, the pilot left Miami to play golf at Augusta National, one of the most exclusive clubs in the world that annually hosts the Augusta Masters. The British uploaded an image on his social networks with a clear message: “It’s worth it.”

The next race of the Formula 1 World Championship will be held on May 19 in Imola. Norris, fourth in the World Championship, will try to extend his sweet moment to continue climbing the positions putting pressure on the Ferraris and Red Bulls.
