LaLiga has now made it official that the important direct clash for Europe on matchday 37 between Betis and Real Sociedad will be played next Sunday, May 19, at 7:00 pm, within the unified schedule for all teams. As expected, considering that Realists and Beticos will play on Thursday of that week in matchday 36 (Real, at 10:00 pm against Valencia).
However, the realistic fan should not make too many plans thinking about that schedule because there is a high possibility that it will change. LaLiga has already warned in the publication that “all matches are subject to changes as soon as the results of the previous match days are known.” And there are two ahead. Furthermore, they have already warned about their real intention for that last day: “if possible, different time slots united by different qualifying goals can be set. ” This means that the day is bound to be different and what LaLiga has done is publish a unified ‘forecast’ schedule which, frankly, is of little use. We have to wait at least until the end of matchday 35, which Real itself closes on Monday, at Montjuic.
