The Aragonese event of the MotoGP World Championship in Alcañiz, which will return to the calendar this year after the 2023 disagreement, can be followed openly in Spain on television through the regional channel Aragón TV after the agreement signed this Wednesday with DAZN and MotoGP. The GoPro Aragon Grand Prix will be the fourteenth race on this season’s calendar and will take place from August 30 to September 1.
This is the first time that Aragón TV will broadcast the event publicly for Spain. Under this agreement reached with MotoGP and DAZN, the leading global sports streaming platform that holds the rights to the World Championship in Spain, Aragonese television will broadcast both races in the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 categories, Tissot Sprint and the practices either through Aragón TV or through its Aragón Deporte platform (cartv).
The Aragon Grand Prix It is the only one of the MotoGP events on Spanish soil that is not included in the agreement signed in April between Atresmedia TV, DAZN and MotoGP for the open broadcast through its La Sexta network of the GPs of Spain, Catalonia and Comunitat Valenciana.
Shortly after, 3Cat announced that an agreement had been reached to broadcast both the MotoGP Catalunya GP and the F1 Spanish GP through the 3Cat, TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio platforms.
DAZN, the platform with the broadcasting rights for the championship, also broadcast the final MotoGP Spanish GP in Jerez live for free, without having to subscribe to a payment plan. This is something they have already released with other content broadcast by DAZN, such as the Superbike World Cup, the semifinals of the Italian soccer cup, or the semifinals of the Women’s Champions League.
