Boxing night in tribute to Xavi Moya fills the Manlleu pavilion

This Saturday, May 11, the trackl Municipal pavilion of Manlleu (Barcelona) fold the baskets and aim to become a colorful boxing competition dedicated to youA tribute to Xavi Moyadied last fall in an accident.

At the end of the tribute, the presentation of the English and Catalan teams continued, and after the exchange of the traditional pennant, the highlight of the day began. Out of 7 international matches played, 4 wins were won by the locals, 2 matches were void and 1 loss. The 2 remaining scheduled matches could not be played because the English boxers, one male and one female, gave more weight than allowed on the scale and the competition was not authorized.

From the club we are very happy with the good performance done by the youngest players, Gerard Torres and Maria Pirvu Only 16 years old, despite the fact that they were just starting their careers, they showed a very good level of boxing and surpassed their English rivals. We highlight the final battle of Marius Popescua very technical match in which he stood out for his speed and accuracy and a great quality of evasion against an Englishman who did not give him a break.

Matches are 3 rounds of 3 minutes, except for the women’s and junior categories which are 3 rounds of 2 minutes.
