Raphael Varane will not wear a shirt Manchester United beyond the end of this season. This was made official by the Mancunian team itself on Tuesday, ending the French central defender’s tenure in a statement.
“Raphael Varane has confirmed that he has left the Manchester United in the summer, when his contract expires, after three seasons Old Trafford. Varane has brought a lot of class and experience to the team throughout his 93 games so far. “The French helped win our first major trophy in six years, by lifting the 2023 League Cup at Wembley Stadium,” the statement read.
Varanewho is now 31 years old, has reached Manchester United in summer 2021, from real Madrid and in exchange for approximately 40 million euros. It was a signing that the ‘red devils’ promised they would be very happy with, but the Frenchman’s performance was far from the level he showed at Real Madrid. His next destination is currently unknown.
