Spain closed the Paralympic Athletics World Cup with eight medals and four new places for the Paris Games

On the last day of the World Cup, Alberto Avila He was the only Spanish athlete to compete, he competed in the final of the 200 meters T64 (athletes with leg amputations) achieving fifth position with a time of 23.64.

Spain won eight medals at this World Cup, two gold, four silver and two bronze, placing it eighteenth in the championship medal table.

Yassine Ouhdadi Kim López was also named world champion in the 5,000 meters T13 (visual disability) and gold in the F12 shot put, earning a ticket to the Paris Games.

Four silvers went to the Spanish team Ivan Cano in long jump T13, JUdith Tortosa in 100 meters T72 (races for athletes with cerebral palsy competing with a sports walker), Sarah Martinez in long jump T12 and Eduardo Uceda in 400 meters T11 (totally blind athletes).

Uceda also got a bronze in the 100 meters T11. The final bronze medal went to Sara Andrés in the 100 meters T64. The medals of Eduardo Uceda, Sara Martínez and Ivan Cano They give three more places which, added to the one obtained by Kim López, means four places for Spain Paris 2024.
