The Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE), recent winner of the Giro d’Italia, leads the UCI standings with 9,663 points, followed by Jonas Vingegaard (Visma) and the Dutch Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin), while the Spanish Juan Ayuso is in seventh place with 3,621 points.
The victory in the Giro boosted Pogacar’s score, which leads the table with 9,663 points, followed by Vingegaard, with 5,970 and Van der Poel, with 4,640.
In the top 10 is the Belgian Remco Evenepoel, 4,375 points, the Spanish Juan Ayuso, seventh with 3,621 and Wout Va Aert, tenth with 3,265. Rounding out the top 10 are Slovenian Primoz Roglic, Spaniard Carlos Rodríguez (2,406) and Vuelta winner American Sepp Kuus (2,370).
By team, there was overwhelming UAE dominance by Pogacar and Ayuso, with a total of 17,693 points, followed by Decathlon Ag2r, with 9,915. Ineos Grenadiers are third with 9,017 and Movistar is in 17th place with 4,478 points.
By country, the UCI classification is dominated by Belgium with 22,449 pointsDenmark followed with 16,472, Slovenia with 16,181 and Spain fourth with 14,767.
In the women’s team, the leader is Belgian World champion Lotte Kopecky, with 5,305 points. The SD Worx Protime cyclist surpassed two SD Worx teammates, the Dutch Demi Vollering (5,132) and Lorena Wiebes (4,012).
