Chus Mateo, coach of Real Madrid, warned that “it will not be easy to beat Barça in Barcelona”, but he is confident that his team will play “a round game” to add another victory this Sunday in the semi-final series of league.
“We did our job at home, which was to win both games. We played at a good level. Now we know where we’re going, it’s not easy to beat Barça in Barcelona,” the coach told Realmadrid TV.
“It’s difficult to face a team of their level at home, but we have energy and hope. We know the game is long, but we have to find a window of opportunity to win,” he added.
The team from the capital won the first match of the series on Wednesday by 97-78 and the second, this Friday, by 104-98.
Regarding the third game, Chus Mateo believes that Barça “will play well, with energy” and tries to find its weak points.
“We must try to play a round game. We have to be one hundred percent focused, play good defense and be able to take the game to the final minutes to resolve it in our favor,” the coach summarized.
