The Slovenian Tim Gajser (Honda) won the qualifying race of German GPeighth round of the championship, ahead of Jorge Prado (GasGas), allowing him to increase his lead over the Spaniard by one point at the top of the MXGP World Championship standings.
The quadruple world champion of the premier class of motocross knows how to control the qualifying test in Teutschenthal. He fought back from the start and once he took the lead, he couldn’t recover his breakaway to surpass Prado, the defending universal champion, by 9,090.
This victory puts Gajser at the top of the overall standings with 358 points, six more than Prado, while third is Frenchman Romain Febvre (Kawasaki), with 327.
This Sunday two rounds of the German Grand Prix will be held, at 2:05 pm and 5:00 pm
