Schedules and where to see the European Athletics Championships in Rome

He European Athletics Championships returns to Rome after 50 years to celebrate its 26th edition from June 7 to 12. The best athletes of the continent gather in the Italian capital to compete for medals and, in some cases, use up the last chance to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris.

At least nine world champions in different disciplines will attend Rome 2024, with the Norwegians standing out. Jakob Ingebrigtsen (1,500m/5,000m) and Karsten Warholm (400m hurdles), the Swede Armand Duplantis (pol), the Dutch Femke Bol (400m hurdles), the Italian Gianmarco Tamberi (height) and the Greek Miltiadis Tentoglou (length).

Spain, for its part, arrived in ‘the eternal city’ with a team of 69 athletes and the goal of maintaining or improving the 10 medals achieved in the previous European Championship in Munich, in 2022.
