The premier league has announced that it will continue to limit ticket prices to £ 30 (€ 35) for the next three seasons following a unanimous agreement by 20 clubs.
The cap was first agreed in 2016 before being extended for three seasons in 2019 and then reviewed in 2025. The limit on ticket prices is also included in Premier League rules. In April, British inflation reached its highest annual rate since 1982.
“All clubs recognize the vital importance of supporters in creating the best possible environment in matches and recognize the additional travel costs that often come with keeping a team away from home,” the league said in a statement.
The clubs have also agreed on a plan to improve the league’s “collective offer to fans”, which will include the introduction of “Fan Advisory Boards” and the development of a “Fan Participation Standard”.
