Wimbledon will distribute the largest prize in Grand Slams history

The tournament of Wimbledon will offer £2.7 million (€3.1 million) to the men’s and women’s singles winnerswhich represents an increase of 14.9% compared to last year and the biggest prize in Grand Slams history.

In total, Wimbledon offers a prize of 50 million pounds (59 million euros), 11.9% more than last year.

Last year, the winners of the individual tournament, Carlos Alcaraz and Marketa Vondrousova, pocketed 2.7 million euros, so, if they repeat this course, They will reach almost 400,000 euros more.

Also increased the reward for players who fight against first round and these will take 60,000 pounds (71,000 euros), compared to 55,000 pounds last year.

Wimbledon starts next, the third Grand Slam of the season July 1st and will last until the 14th of the same month.
