Sestao River announced yesterday that Aitor Calle, the coach who promoted and kept the green and black team in the Primera RFEF after three consecutive seasons on the Las Llanas bench, will not continue to lead the team next season. The Biscayan coach’s experience as coach of Sestao River is 112 games with a record of 53 wins, 35 draws and 24 losses. Calle also defended the green-black shirt during his time as a player.
Matías Lizarazu serves as the new sports director of Sestao River as of yesterday. This Navarrese, who has a past in Athletic youth ranks as a player and graduated in Economic Law, led the process of converting Algeciras to SAD. One of the first recorded news after joining the green and black club was that Aitor Calle would not continue as coach.
