The Chilean Alejandro Tabilo achieved the second grass victory of his sports career by winning to Queen In Spanish Alexander Davidovich by 7-6 (6), 3-6 and 6-1.
This Tuesday, Tabilo ended the match that was suspended on Monday due to the slippery court when the Chilean was up 2-0 in the third set.
In less than half an hour, Tabilo finished the job and left Davidovich without wins on grass two weeks before the start of the Wimbledonwhere he defended in the third round last year.
Tabilo had a fantastic year on all surfaces, with the title in Auckland, the final in Santiago and the semi-finals in Bucharest and Rome. Before this Queen’s, the Chilean had won only one match on grass, two years ago at Wimbledon.
In the round of 16, the American will face world number 24 Tommy Paulwho beat the Argentine on his debut Sebastian Baez for double 6-4.
