German Police arrested two people on Wednesday who allegedly blackmailed the family of retired Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher.
According to a spokesperson for the Prosecutor’s Office told Bild newspaper, “a case of blackmail against a celebrity is being investigated” and arrest warrants “have been executed in this case,” although he declined to “provide additional information at this time.”
The alleged blackmail along with a request for “millions” of euros from the former pilot’s familyaccording to German tabloids.
Last December 29 marked 10 years to the day in which the life of Michael Schumacher and his entire family completely changed due to the skiing accident suffered by the 7-time world champion at the Méribel resort, in the French Alps.
Since then, his wife, Corinna Schumacher, has repeated him requested that Michael Schumacher’s health and recovery be kept private in honor of the nicknamed ‘Kaiser’.
