This summer’s celebration of Olympic Games has changed the Tour de Francewhich is part of this year Florence and it does not end with the traditional Champs Elysées in Paris.

THE BEST TEAM AND CYCLISTS
The 2024 Tour de France will be contested by 176 cyclists divided into 22 teams of eight riders. There are 18 teams in the World Tour, those in the highest division of cycling, to which are added Lotto Dstny, Israel-Premier Tech, Totral Energies and Uno-X Mobility, as UCI Pro Teams, belonging to the second division of cycling. There will be only one Spanish team, the Movistar Team, the only Spanish member of the World Team

PLENTY OF SECURITY
Cyclists are included in the Tour by a total of 500 staff (team managers, assistants, mechanics, etc.), to which we must add the 28,000 police, gendarmes and firefighters who manage security throughout the race, to which 300 new agent needs to be added to the Republican Guard, Gendarmerie agent and reinforcement agent).

ALMOST 100 KM MORE BY 2023
This year’s Tour will be held over a distance of 3,498 kilometers in 21 stages. The Tour caravan visited four countries (Italy, San Marino, Monaco and France), the first Grand Depart from Italy and the first finish in Nice.

2 CHRONOS AND MANY MOUNTAINS
This edition of the Tour includes eight flat stages, seven mountain stages (four are high finishes), four that we can define as ravines and two time trials, on stages 7 and 21, so that this final test in Nice could be decisive for career luck. Highlight the 27 mountain passes, the four mountain ranges visited (Apennines, Italian and French Alps and the Pyrenees in the Massif Central), with the ceiling of the race at 2,802 meters of the summit of La Bonette

MEDICAL SERVICES
The safety of the cyclists is key to the race and for this the organization allocates a total of seven ambulances, two medical vehicles, a medical motorcycle, seven nurses, 1 X-ray bus and ten doctors of all specialties.

LONG CARAVAN
It is always said that the Tour caravan with the runners is impressive, and no wonder. It consists of 150 vehicles, with 33 brands or institutions represented, with 50 supervisors, 570 caravans, forming a 10 kilometer convoy and a daily 30 minute entertainment
