The Ulster Superbike is ready to go to work this weekend –

Date:

The Ulster Superbike Championship kicks off this weekend at Bishopscourt.

The opening round of the hugely popular series, hosted by Temple Motorcycle & Athletic Club, will take place on Saturday, April 2.

He has promised that there will be an exceptional daytime race as fans return to the circuit following the restrictions imposed by Covid-19.

Ulster Superbike, 600cc and Governor Supersport Champion Aleister Seely would be the best man. Carrick is fighting back with the new Yamaha R1, which he describes as an early stage of domestication.

There is no doubt that the IFS Global Logistics Racing team will try to defend their titles by taking part in the 600cc and Superbike races on Saturday.

Another team that participated this year and is observing the award is the JMcC Roofing Race, a local team from Banbridge.

They have riders competing in Ulster Superbike, Supertwin and Supersport 600 races. This will be rider Jason Lynn’s second season in Superbike racing.

He also has high hopes that his recent tests of the ZX10 in Spain, Bishopscourt Silly and others will help sell for the money.

After switching from a Suzuki to a Kawasaki ZX10, this is definitely a team and rider not to be missed. Teammate Scott Clemens will join him on the day the JMcC Roofing Race team launched four bikes in a circuit.

The Magic Bullet team is not to be underestimated. Johnny Campbell, Ross Irwin and Richard McFarland have worked hard to make a name for themselves on the asphalt. Johnny will be traveling on a Yamaha R6 with the 600 Supersport, a bike he described as full of success.

Backed by owner Stanley Watson, they have all the gear this year and have no plans to neglect the silt.

To the delight of Sam McBride’s Superbike Cup, Sili admitted he has nothing like it in his wardrobe. The trophy was recently donated to the Temple Motorcycle & Athletic Club through Winston Buchanan by the family of Mr. John Hayes, who passed it on to his father Mr. Jimmy Hayes in 1935 for his victory in the Temple 100 Road Race.

The Hayes family warmly handed the trophy to the club in his honour, and the members agreed to honor it in memory of the late club member, the late Sam McBride, to be handed over to the eventual winner on April 2.

Still in its historic century, the Temple Motorcycle and Athletic Club feels like another memorable day.

Admission will be 12-12 at the gate, including local corporate sponsored events on the same day.

The first race will start at 11pm.
