Linn Grant, first female champion on the men’s European tour

the swedish City Grant made history this Sunday by being the first woman to win a valid contest for DP World Tour men’s golf, by winning the mixed tournament of Scandinaviaplayed at Halmstad club in Tylösand (Sweden).

Linn Grant, 22 years old (will be 23 on June 20) and has two titles on the Ladies European Tour, both this year (Johannesburg and Belgium tomorrow), won the halmstad with 264 total shots (24 under par) and four rounds of 66, 68, 66 and 64 on the final day, where he signed up to eight birdies without fail.

In a tournament where players on the women’s circuit start from a ‘tee’ slightly ahead of those on the men’s European circuit, Linn Grant skipped the game to win nine shots ahead of her compatriot. Henrik Stenson and the scotch Henry Warrenwho shared second place.

With ten impacts they finished Spanish Santiago Tarriothe Dutchman Darius van Driel and the Australian Jason Scrivener.

Sebastián García Rodríguez finished with -12, Nacho Elvira with -9 and Paz Marfa with +6.
