A heartfelt farewell to Escudero and Jordi Masip

Date:

Sergio Escudero and Jordi Masip They are history of Real Valladolid. Not only because of their performance in the years they defended the albivioleta shirt but because this Thursday they ended their careers with the entity, which decided not to extend their respective contracts.

They both like it say goodbye from Valladolid fans with separate messages in which they confessed how difficult it was for them to accept the point they put in their career in Pucelana.

This is full message from Sergio Escudero:

“I felt it, but when the call came from Real Valladolid I accepted the news I don’t want. I am waiting for them to inform me of a continuation that cannot be given. But, I don’t hold grudges anymore, I’m not looking for anything to bother anyone, and I don’t want to spoil my goodbye.

I will go to clear conscience because I always gave everything for this club. It’s a dream to be back with my hometown team and that’s why I’m grateful to everyone who helped me grow and develop. Of course I would have liked to continue, but now I have to face that my time here is over. I feel proud and enjoy all the time spent as white-purpleespecially after achieving the goal of returning the team to its rightful place, as an institution and as a city.

My experience, at this time, forces me to remember the youthful years of Santovenia de Pisuerga, when I approached Maiden, to remember what is now. All is well and all ends with no other interest than to be grateful for the values that I have fostered in this institution. I bid a peaceful farewell and wish not to interfere with the club’s future plans. I want to continue playing although again far from my house but with the unconditional support of my family.

Thank you Real Valladolid, Thank you to the fans, I always felt your warmth, thank you president, coaching staff, staff, to the group of quiet workers of the entity, who made it clear that my time here will never be lost.”

Message from Jordi Masip

For his part, Jordi Masip sent the following letter to Valladolid fans:

“Dear purple-white,

It makes me very strange had to write these lines seven years after my arrival in Pucela. At that moment I did not think that Real Valladolid would become a special club for me and my family. I am very grateful for the many times I have been able to defend this shirt, because I have been able to represent a historic entity and for leaving it where it belongs: in the highest category of Spanish football.

Since I arrived they have instilled that in me Pucela is special and that’s what I felt. All the time, now as a veteran and captain, I tried to convey it to my new colleagues and I left satisfied with fulfilling the motto that sounds in one of the anthems and that is engraved on the bracelet that I had the privilege of. wearing “Receive me with pride, return me with honor.” A phrase that has taken on a lot of meaning at the end of this season and has always guided my steps on and off the pitch since I arrived in Valladolid.

Here my two children have grown up, Here I felt at home, here (leave the bad) I felt the happiness of so many people in three promotions. That’s why I want this letter to serve as a THANK YOU to the fans of Blanquivioleta and to all the people who work hard every day to make Real Valladolid even bigger. I felt an important part of the institutional development of this great club that we will always carry in our hearts.

Thank you to Carlos Suárez first and to Ronaldo Nazário later for trusting me. Thanks to the managers. Thanks to the technical bodies and all the staff members (doctors, physios, props, employees…), a family that is worth its weight in gold and that I have enjoyed every day for seven years. Thanks to each of my colleagues during these times. It has been a privilege to share the locker room with you.

For me it has been a pride and an honor. Another Blanquivioleta said goodbye, I will always be one and I will always wish for the real Valladolid.
