Ronald Koeman, the Netherlands coach, celebrated progressing to the semi-finals of the Euro Cup after defeating Turkey and acknowledged that his team were a little lucky not to be awarded a 2-2 draw in the last Ottoman siege.
“The Turkish team played a great game, they play with passion and have quality players. In the last five minutes they could have scored 2-2. Teams sometimes also need luck and we were lucky in the last minutes,” admitted the former Barça coach.
“No one expected us to enter the semifinals, but our mission is not over yet. When you reach the semi-finals you also want to play in the final and you want to play in the final to win,” added the Dutch coach.
“We are semi-finalists in the Euro Cup and that is a great achievement. England have great players but so do we. It will be a fantastic match in Dortmund,” added Ronald Koeman in reference to the match next Wednesday
