There will be a total of seven friendlies that will form in Girona’s preseason. The Catalan club has added a new friendly to its list of commitments and it is Naples, which will be held next Saturday, August 3 at 6:30 pm at Castel di Sangro. This will be the third consecutive warm-up match against the Italians, as the friends have already played in 2022 and 2023.
Olot, Montpellier, Espanyol, Toulouse, Newcastle and Bournemouth complete the full list of rivals. Against the ‘garrotxí’ team, another of the regulars in the Girona preseason, they will face next Wednesday, July 17 at 7:00 pm, also in the ‘olotí’ fiefdom.
Next, another Catalan team, is the perico team. The men from Girona will face Montpellier on July 20 at the RV Training Center and Espanyol next Saturday, July 27 at 11:00, although behind closed doors at the Torremirona field.
In Gallic style for the second time, Míchel’s men face Toulouse next Wednesday, July 31, sharing the same schedule and the same venue against the Spaniard, also behind closed doors. After those commitments, the Newcastle match appears on August 9 at 7:30 pm at Saint James Park. In addition, the ‘gironins’ will face Bournemouth -August 10 at 7:00 pm- to celebrate the last friendly at the Vitality Stadium before starting the league championship next Thursday, August 15 at Benito Villamarín against Betis.
