Tadej Pogacar (UAE) leads the Slovenian Olympic team that will compete in the Paris Games road testwhile Primoz Roglictime trial gold medal at Tokyo 2020, title will not be defended.
Pogacar, leader of the Tour de France, will share the ranks in Paris Jan Tratnik (Visma), Matej Mohoric (Bahrain Victorious) and Luka Mezgec (Jayco-AlUla).
Triple winner of the Vuelta and time trial gold Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) will not appear in the call.
Urska Zigart, national road and time trial champion and partner of Pogacar, also did not appear on the Olympic list. The Slovenian cyclist from the UAE Emirates is critical of this decision, as he is the best cyclist in the country in the UCI ranking.
“Because I was destroyed Urska Zigart, double national champion and the best Slovenian cyclist in the World Tour, was not selected for the Olympic Games. Without words,” said the leader of the Tour.
