If you are going to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, do not risk buying tickets on websites that are far from official channels. And if you do, you risk becoming a victim of a scam. According to the Bleeping Computer portal, authorities are investigating the creation of multiple domains where it was determined that fake tickets for the Paris 2024 Games were put up for sale.
In total, according to the aforementioned media, the intelligence company QuoIntelligence found 708 domains posing as a ticket sales website with accommodation for this summer’s Olympic event, domains that seem credible from when they used the keywords ‘ticket’ and ‘Paris24’. Some of these websites even used the appearance of the official website of the Olympic Games, so only those who look closely can see small differences between the content of the official website and the fake one.
The main target of scammers is the Russian public, as many of these websites are created in their language.
