The Victorian Oier Lazkano (Movistar) will accept the proposal from the national road cycling coach, Pascual Momparler, to do the time trial at the Paris Olympic Games. after Juan Ayuso’s withdrawal from the Tour due to Covid, the rider was originally selected for the said competition.
Momparler will talk to Lazkano to offer him the time trial to be held on July 27 to replace Ayuso, who once retired from the Tour needs to monitor developments for a possible replacement in the road team.
Ayuso’s health is pending, The cyclist from Jávea is in Momparler, together with Lakzano and Alex Aranburu for the road test on August 3, and joined Lazkano for the time trial.
A good number of runners are on the list for possible changes, including Pello Bilbao, Iván García Cortina, Raúl García Pierna and Iván Romeo.
