Other great players on the circuit, like the world number 1, the Italian Jannik Sinner, will lead the world champions in their title defense in Bologna (Group A). Nicolás Jarry (Chile), Sebastián Báez (Argentina), Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada), Jack Draper (Great Britain) and Sebastian Korda (United States) will also represent their countries.

The four teams that will share the venue will play in a round-robin league format.

The best two in each group will qualify for the Final 8 in Malaga, where a direct elimination match will be held to crown the 2024 World Champion.

ITF president David Haggerty said it will be “exciting” to see a good representation of “the best players in the world” representing their countries in September.

“Many of the nominees will also play in Paris 2024, and this year’s schedule will allow the world’s best tennis players ample opportunity to compete for their country’s colors,” he added.

The tournament director of the 2024 Davis Cup Finals, Feliciano López, emphasized that for the players to represent their country is “a great honor.”

“The strength of the announced teams shows how important the Davis Cup is to players around the world,” he added.
