He Girona has announced that the process of registration and purchase of tickets for the matches of Champions League. The club has been working for months to satisfy the majority of its fans, considering that not all of them will fit due to UEFA restrictions.
“To understand everything we have done, the source must be explained,” he introduced. Nacho Mas-Bagà, CEO of the club. “Since 2003 we have been working on the Montilivi of the future and the shareholders are very involved in the projects. “We are in the middle of developing the sports city and we want to work on the next challenge, our stadium,” he added, that claiming short-term intentions.
There are many stones on the road. “The technicians told us that we will not only have problems in the ‘Preferent’ area, but also in the ‘Gol Nord’ area,” he said. Both areas, which form an ‘L’ and are in the middle of the stadium, are at the same time when trying to increase the capacity, so there is no time to carry out adequate activities. “Since January we have been talking to the City Council and the risk is because the UEFA receive at least 8,000 spectators. In addition, we cannot use the retractable stands,” he listed.
It included some reforms imposed by UEFA and they had to apply it all according to their abilities. A bigger press room, VIP spaces, broadcast booth and a long list of conditions are important, with the disadvantage of having to apply it to a stadium with many shortcomings.
But what matters most to the member is whether they can watch the Champions League. “The club will have 6,000 tickets available for members,” Mas-Bagà explained. The rest… 1,300 for UEFA1,500 for the club – commitments to players, contract commitments to sponsors, presidential box and VIP row -, 700 for the visiting team and 221 for the media.
There will be recognition to the first 1,000 members. The oldest members – from members 1 to 1,000 – will have the opportunity to buy tickets for four matches of the Champions League stage in Montilivi. The other 5,000 tickets will be raffled off to other registered members. So the club guarantees that, at a minimum, all members will enjoy a match in Montilivi.
To do this, a process of registration and grouping for members was opened up to July 29. On July 31, matches will be drawn and assigned to registered members. On August 29, the opponents will be announced through a draw issued by UEFA and on September 3, the process of buying tickets for the matches will begin.
The prices They will be assigned as soon as the rivals are known, but they will be based on 45 euros. The club will strengthen the member’s attention to improve the service and believes that this is the best way to try to satisfy everyone involved.
