A Marco’s goal in the 88th minute gave Rayo Vallecano a 2-2 draw against Portuguese team Braga on Thursday in the Madrid team’s first friendly match of the preseason.
He central defender Pelayo Fernández, from Barça Atlètic and who just signed for four seasons, put the Rayistas ahead in the 13th minute, but Braga reversed the score with goals from the Spaniard Gabri Martínez, at 24, and Ricardo Horta, at 43.
Two minutes from the end, Rayo B defender Marco de la Sias sealed the final tie.
Rayo will play their second preseason friendly on Sunday against another Portuguese team, the Vitoria de Guimarães. On July 26 the rival Heerenveen Dutch, Bournemouth on August 4 and six days later, Wolverhampton.
